Conor Mc Ginty

Conor McGinty is an Irish Singer/Songwriter from Derry. The 29-year-old began singing at a relatively late age, when his vocal ability was discovered at a aged 17.

Shortly after, Conor was entered into a local talent competition. Conor won the competition & £3000. Conor then began gigging in Northern Ireland and beyond!
After 2 years of hard gigging, it was time to go to the next level! After numerous auditions Conor landed himself a place on The X Factor UK 2016. Conor received 4 solid yeses and subsequently made it down to the last 40 contestants gaining a seat at The 6 Chair Challenge in Wembley.

Conor’s version of Say Something has accumulated almost 1 million online views worldwide.


In a short few years of singing, Conor has already grabbed the attention of Simon Cowell, Tommy Fleming, Louis Walsh, Danny O Donogue of The Script, Radio 1 DJ Nick Grimshaw, Cheryl Cole and many other well-known showbiz names.



Conor released his debut album “A New Dawn” in 2019 which went straight in at #1 on The iTunes World Music Chart. Conor is currently working on original material with a number of different songwriters in Ireland. Conor has appeared on BBC, RTE, ITV, UTV & many other TV Stations in the last 7 years.

 

Conor’s musical influences include everyone from Tom Jones to Steve Perry (original singer in Journey), Aslan, Tommy Fleming and U2 .
