Most recently you may have seen Claudia on RTE’s “Up for the match” where she gave a rendition of “Proud Mary” where she perfomed alongside a group of dancers from Co.Limerick as they represented their home county for the All Ireland hurling final!
Claudia has toured in Ireland, England, Scotland, Spain and she even ventured to Mexico this passed year as part of Gertrude Byrnes “All Star” cruise, and can’t wait to set sail again in 2022 along side some of her friends and colleagues like Daniel O’ Donnell and Nathan Carter to name but a few!
Claudia has achieved an incredible amount of success so early on in her career and speaks fondly of having performed some of her hit songs at festivals, dance halls and indeed theatres all over Ireland and beyond earlier this year “there has been something incredibly special about performing your own hits out at these open air festivals, and looking down into the crowd seeing people mouth the words back to you, it is electric”.
In Christmas 2020 on “The Late Late Show” Claudia performed a tribute to her longtime childhood hero Dolly Parton, alongside Una Healy and Cliona Hagan, which left viewers dumbfounded by her star quality and vocal ability. She describes it as “something she will never forget”. It has raked him hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube to date.
Claudia was humbled and honoured when asked by good friend and fellow entertainer Nathan Carter to join him on tour as his special guest, performing to sell out crowds in numerous theatres throughout the Uk and Scotland, and experience which she describes as ‘a dream come true’.
Claudia was delighted to be able to showcase her unique and authentic style to such an extensive audience.
Claudia had already reached a milestone in her career at the tender age of 16 , having been invited by Ryan Tubridy to perform on RTE’s Late Late show, after he her saw her perform with music legend Daniel O’ Donnell on TG4’s Opry Le Daniel, he described young Claudia as “a marvellous young lady with a tremendous talent”.
Following this Claudia has been humbled with fantastic experiences, having been invited a second time by one of her role models Daniel O’ Donnell to perform on the hit series ‘Opry Le Daniel’ where she even got to duet one of her favourite songs “Love Me Tonight” with Daniel himself, an experience she will cherish forever. She was also invited by musical legend Philomena Begley to honour her by performing some of her greatest hits on a special episode of Opry Le Daniel on TG4.
Later on that year she joined a host of Ireland’s greatest entertainers on RTE’s “Late Late Country Special”.
Of course, some would say it was inevitable that Claudia would pursue a career in music, following firmly in the footsteps of her father, Country music legend Jimmy Buckley. He speaks fondly with pride about Claudia’s love for her craft “I knew music would find her, she got bitten by the music bug at a very young age. I’m so happy that the public have taken to her wonderful personality, and she has the talent to match, I could not be more proud if I tried.”
During the covid pandemic Claudia has turned her hand to writing, and recording more great music and making plans for when we can return to performing safely. She has just finished her studio album “Hell Raisin’ Flower” which went straight in at no.1 and stayed in the top spot for weeks Following the immediate success of her album Claudia made a guest appearance on virgin media’s 6 o’ clock show where she chatted to presenters Martin King and Una Healy and even performed a stripped back version of th title track of her album “Hell Raisin Flower” , written for her by Derek Ryan and Eoin Glackin. With further plans to tour Ireland, the Uk, Scotland and beyond next year the future proves bright for Claudia and she speaks excitedly of her plans. “I’ve been so lucky to be able to put in the hard graft required to make music work this passed year. I’ve met some really fantastic people and I’m so grateful that through this I have gained loyal fans for life who love music just as much as I do, I’m beyond excited for what the future holds for me.. country music runs through my veins, all I have ever wanted to do is make people happy with my music.
